About the Chef
The heart and soul behind every dish at Akwaaba Bakes & Eats

"Akwaaba means welcome. Every dish I make is an invitation to my table."
I grew up in Ghana where food was always about community — gathering around the table, sharing stories, and showing love through every dish. When I moved to the United States, I brought that spirit with me.
Akwaaba Bakes & Eats was born from my kitchen, where I started making the dishes my grandmother taught me, fusing traditional Ghanaian flavors with classic American comfort food. Every item on our menu is made from scratch with fresh, quality ingredients.
Akwaaba means "welcome" in the Akan language, and that's exactly what I want you to feel every time you order — welcome, valued, and well-fed.
